IMON Wireless Solutions (IMON) is an Information Technology Consultancy firm that has transformed itself into a Wireless Broadband Internet Service Provider. Our location is based in Georgetown, Guyana.

 

The company offers many services to its customers; however its main focus of the company is to provide quality, affordable and reliable I.T solutions. This means that our customers will be able to have one firm handle all this I.T tasks and needs

 

IMON benefits from several strategic alliances by receiving very competitive pricing on most products, allowing the company to offer competitive pricing on its services to customers. This supported by its highly qualified Management Team gives us an advantage over our two direct competitors. Also, most competitors offer solutions for Windows, and perhaps Macintosh, but ignore all other operating systems. With the rise of Linux and other alternative operating systems, there is potential for IMON to surpass its competitors in this aspect.


Background

 


The company began as Wave Rider Networks, but decided to change to IMON Wireless Solutions. This change came about mainly because of the characteristics of our Management team and the views we hold. IMON Wireless Solutions is a traditional, information technology consultancy firm that offers solutions such as: design, installation, management, etc. IMON allows people and companies to fulfill their information technology requirements without costly network connections, dedicated servers, and other similar expenses or expertise. We also offer our clients the ability to successfully manage their data networks.
The company provides many of the services that customers need to get online and function on a day-to-day basis. IMON provides both connectivity and consulting on topics ranging from office automation to satellite internet solutions. We have ongoing research and development to provide solutions to current customer issues (e-commerce, ease-of- use features, etc.). Also, we plan to develop new products and services that will enable us to compete in new markets and attract new customers.


IMON Wireless Solutions select products that meet the following criterion:
•     Benefit to customers/company: the product must materially benefit the customer or the company in some way. This may manifest itself as a side benefit, an improvement on current services, or additional revenue stream to the company.
•     Cost/benefit ratio: the benefits realized must be at least as great as the cost of implementation, production, and maintenance of the product.

IMON makes a concerted effort to keep customers informed and to remedy problems in the shortest possible times. IMON offers telephone support during extended business hours (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and has an unlimited web support via the help desk.
With that in mind IMON Wireless Solution came into existence. IMON is an abbreviation for I’M Online Now, and that is what we intend for every one of our customers to be, whether they have a telephone or not! Guyana and the Caribbean are unique places in the world, and we found that we could settle on nothing less than making our company reflective of who we are and where we’re from. This, along with trying to evade the usual technology framework, made our company adopt a refreshing Caribbean nature.
